Tarja Heikkilä Appointed Chief Business Officer of Peltolan Pussi

Tarja Heikkilä, MBA, has been appointed Chief Business Officer of Peltolan Pussi Oy, a Finnish manufacturer of paper bags, effective October 5th, 2026.

As Business Director, Heikkilä will be responsible for Peltolan Pussi’s business operations and for leading the company’s day-to-day activities together with the organization. Kari Hurme, Managing Director of Peltolan Pussi, will continue with the company after the turn of the year in a key role focused on developing both domestic and export business.

Tarja brings strong expertise in the packaging industry and extensive experience in business development. She has excellent qualifications to lead the company through its next phase, with a strong focus on growth, says Per-Henrik Hagberg, CEO of Fredman Group Oy.

Heikkilä has a long and diverse career in the packaging industry. She joins Peltolan Pussi from Metsä Group, where she worked on the commercialization of the Muoto project. Previously, she served as Managing Director of Jospak and held responsibility for procurement and logistics at Amerplast. Throughout her career, she has also worked in business development, sales, and marketing roles.

Heikkilä is looking forward to taking on her new position.
