German retail giant to feature Finnish Fredman kitchen products
In October, Fredman cooking and baking products will be available in over 1900 ROSSMANN stores across Germany. The products are sourced from Fredman’s factory in Rauma, Finland.
Unlike the Finnish Fredman products, the brand items in the German chain will be packaged in pink.
The distinctly different packaging design from other products in the same category is believed to attract the interest of German home cooks.
“ROSSMANN is a significant retail chain not only in Germany but also throughout Europe. It is rare for a brand to achieve such extensive distribution in stores,” says Fredman’s Chief Business Officer Peter Nyman, adding:
“We will closely monitor the reception of the Fredman brand and our products among German home cooks. If there is demand, we can expand or otherwise develop our collaboration,” Nyman states.
Fredman acquires Peltolan Pussi, known for its bread bags
Finnish kitchen product manufacturer Fredman Group Oy has acquired Peltolan Pussi Oy, a Tampere‑based producer of paper bags.
