SAGA consumer business to Fredman Group in Finland and Baltics as of October 1, 2025

The collaboration between Fredman Group Oy, a Finnish kitchen products manufacturer, and Metsä Tissue greaseproof paper business, part of Metsä Group, is expanding. Fredman and Metsä Tissue have signed a licensing agreement for the sales, marketing, and distribution of SAGA consumer brand products in Finland and the Baltic region. The licensing agreement will take effect from October. Fredman has been manufacturing SAGA consumer brand products at its Rauma factory since 2014.

The representation of the SAGA consumer brand strengthens Fredman’s strategic goal to grow in fiber-based kitchen products, such as coffee filters and baking papers.

The newly signed licensing agreement ensures the continued high quality and responsible production, sales, and marketing of SAGA consumer brand products in Finland. Fredman has been manufacturing SAGA consumer brand products since 2014. Under the agreement, Metsä Tissue’s greaseproof paper business will continue to supply raw paper from its Mänttä mill to Fredman.

In addition to baking paper, SAGA’s other consumer products include SAGA Cling film, SAGA Snack Bag and SAGA Foil.
