Export Director 

Fredman Group, Espoo, Finland 

Fredman, a Finnish company with an established export business, is seeking an Export Director to drive the next phase of growth with our international customers. Are you up for the challenge? 

At Fredman, we support kitchens in their everyday success with high-quality essentials – serving both professional kitchens and consumers. As our current Export Director moves on to new opportunities, we are now looking for a successor to drive the continued growth and development of our export business. Export is a central pillar of our growth strategy, with current operations in around 10 international markets. 

As Export Director, you will play a central role in accelerating Fredman’s export growth in selected markets and strengthening our international presence. We are seeking a proactive and determined individual with the drive and stamina to succeed. You will report to Fredman Group’s Chief Business Officer and collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders. 

Your key responsibilities include: 

• developing and executing export business plans in line with our strategy 

• acquiring new customers and strengthening long-term customer relationships 

• leading international key accounts 

• driving profitable sales growth 

• identifying and developing business opportunities together with customers 

• managing demand forecasting and sales performance in collaboration with the organization 

The role involves travelling mainly within Europe (approximately 50–100 days per year). 

What we expect from you 

• solid experience in export sales (FMCG, foodservice, or similar industry) 

• good understanding of retail and/or wholesale business 

• proven track record in managing and growing international retail key accounts 

• strong commercial mindset and ability to identify growth opportunities  

• strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with the ability to work across teams and lead complex business topics 

• Fluency in English and Finnish is required; proficiency in German and/or Swedish is considered an asset, given our focus on Germany and the Nordic markets.

Compensation will be based on your experience and qualifications (salary range will be discussed early in the recruitment process). We work in hybrid model and the position is based in Espoo, where we have our headquarters.
